early times report

Doda, Oct 28: Continuing its outreach and awareness initiatives under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), and on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Shri Sandeep Mehta (JKPS), Doda Police today organised a seminar on the theme “Role of Police in Nation Building” at Government Degree College Doda.
The event was organised under the supervision of Additional SP Headquarters Doda, Shri Mohd Aslam, and DySP Headquarters Doda, Shri Ajay Anand.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and officers from District Police Doda.
The seminar aimed to highlight the multifaceted role of police in ensuring public order, promoting justice, and contributing to the overall development and unity of the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the resource persons from Doda Police deliberated on how the police act as the first line of defence in maintaining peace and harmony, preventing crime, and assisting citizens in times of need. They emphasized that modern policing is not limited to enforcement but also involves community partnership, public trust, and youth engagement for a better and safer society.
Students also shared their views and interacted with the officers, appreciating the efforts of police in maintaining social order and upholding the values of democracy. Certificates of participation were presented to the participating students as a token of encouragement.
The Principal, Government Degree College Doda, extended gratitude to Doda Police for initiating such informative and interactive programmes that bridge the gap between police and the public, especially the youth.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge to continue such awareness activities across various educational institutions of the district.
