IGNOU Jammu holds Vigilance Webinar

Jammu, Oct 31: As a part of a series of events during the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, Regional Centre Jammu today organized a virtual lecture in which Shri Anand Jain, ADGP (Armed Police) was the Keynote Speaker. During the lecture, Shri Anand Jain addressed the employees of RC, students, Coordinators, and other stakeholders on the importance of maintaining ethical conduct and transparency in the workplace. Shri Jain shared a presentation which covered key topics such as Role of vigilance in good governance, Preventive vigilance measures, and importance of collective responsibility in fostering an ethical work environment. The event was presided over by Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu who asserted the reinforced the Regional Centre’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity. Dr. Sandeep Gupta said that this Vigilance Awareness Week is a crucial reminder that integrity is a collective effort. He added that the insights shared during the lecture will help the Regional Centre strengthen its internal mechanisms and ensure every employee is a vigilant partner in our mission for transparency and accountability.
Shri Jain shared valuable insights and experiences drawn from his extensive service in the Anti-Corruption Bureau and having served in various other regulating departments in several capacities. He encouraged IGNOU learners to uphold ethical values, practice honesty in their personal and professional lives, and actively contribute to building a corruption-free society. The Chief Guest also engaged in a virtual interactive session with IGNOU learners and staff, addressing their queries and discussing practical measures to strengthen transparency and ethical governance. The event was highly successful, marked by enthusiastic participation from IGNOU learners, coordinators of LSCS, and staff members of IGNOU RC Jammu.
