Jammu, Nov 2: Nrityanjali, a reputed classical dance academy in Jammu, organized its three-month Baithak on October 2nd at open air theater of Nrityanjali. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their dedication and progress in the field of classical dance. The evening was graced by eminent guests — Renowned theatrist and announcer from All India Radio Shri Rajkumar Behrupia, RJ Juhi from 92.7 Big FM (also an actor, social activist, and AIR announcer), Shri Vijay Kumar, a renowned tabla player, and Smt. Shikha Jain, Director of Arsh NGO. The event began with a soulful presentation of Shiv Stuti by senior dancer Kritika Dutt, followed by mesmerizing performances by: Sayesha Kaul, Shihij Kaul, Charvee Mahajan, Digantika Chakraborty, Shraddha Anthal, Amyra Gupta, Yashaswini, Aarya Mangotra, Shivanshi Gupta, Shine Anand, Shreya Gupta, Saachi Sundeep Bhat, Manikarnika Sharma, Akshita Bhardwaj, Twinkle Talwar, Urvashi Abrol, Annie Koul, Rukund, Aarika Maurya, Priyanka Raina, Angana Kohli, and Sonika Sharma. All performances were accompanied by live music — Harmonium by Shri Rajkumar Behrupia, Tabla by Shri Vijay Kumar, and Padhant by Dr. Priya Dutta. The event was beautifully anchored by Aanandita Dutt, senior dancer of Nrityanjali. The evening concluded with words of appreciation from the distinguished guests, applauding the academy’s continued efforts in preserving and promoting Indian classical arts. |
