11/2/2025 7:44:46 PM

early times report

Kathua, Nov 2: MLA Jasrota Rajiv Jasrotia today in presence of DDC Member, Block Keerian Gandyal, Dr. Kumari Shaveta laid the foundation stone for development projects in Panchayat Tridwan, Block Keerian Gandyal. The projects, which fall under the District Capex (BDC) and (PRI) plans for 2025-26, include a multi-sports playground, a shed for the playground, and Chainlink fencing with a gate. The project was sanctioned under the District Capex (BDC) Plan 2025-26 and is estimated to cost ₹24.89 lakhs. Chainlink fencing with gate was sanctioned under the District Capex (PRI) Plan 2025-26 and is estimated to cost ₹8.13 lakhs.
The development will be undertaken by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Sarpanchs Tridwan Dhyan Singh , Punjab Singh ,Bhopinder Sharma, Sushma Naib Sarpanch Dixit Sharma Ex Mandal Pradhan, Rajesh Sharma Arun , Mohinder Kohli , Pyara Singh , Jaimal Singh , Balbir Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Jasrotia highlighted the importance of creating quality public spaces that nurture youth talent and promote healthy living. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the overall development and welfare of the constituency.
He said in the evolving landscape of education, academic excellence alone is no longer sufficient to prepare student for the challenges of life. The development project, with an estimated cost of Rs 33 lakh, is aimed at improving sports infrastructure to provide better recreational opportunities for the youth of the area, Jasrotia said.
Jasrotia observed that today’s world presents unique challenges, including sedentary lifestyles driven by technology. Schools must counteract this trend by creating engaging and accessible sports programs. Modern sports facilities equipped with digital fitness trackers, AI-based coaching tools, and virtual training sessions can inspire students to stay active in innovative ways. Integrating technology with physical activity ensures that students remain motivated and connected to fitness goals, said Jasrotia.
Our goal is to serve society without any distinction of region, religion, or language.
This commitment has fostered unwavering trust among diverse communities who believe in our mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” Jasrotia said. Later, Jasrotia interacted with local residents, listened to their civic concerns, and assured them that their issues would be addressed promptly by coordinating with the concerned authorities.
He assured the people of the area that several more development works are in pipeline and the same can be taken up in the phased manner. “BJP’s Mission J&K has
been to ensure welfare of the people by creating an atmosphere of peace and stability wherein every segment of society gets equitable opportunities to progress and prosper,” Jasrotia said.
