NEW DELHI, Nov 19: Stakeholders are requested to highlight: i) To recognize, invest in, and strengthen women-led peacebuilding and development initiatives as integral to social impact and sustainable national progress ii) To acknowledge women community facilitators, mediators, artisans, and entrepreneurs as key peacebuilders and social anchors within their communities. iii) To ensure the meaningful participation and representation of women peacebuilders in development, governance, and economic processes at all levels to achieve Sustainable Development Goals 1,5, 8, 13, 16 & 17 iv) To amplify the visibility and significance of women-led development agendas through storytelling, documentation, and public engagement. v) To urge the Government to design policies and frameworks that enable women artisans to access markets, technology, finance, and innovation platforms seamlessly. vi) To revitalize training and skill-building programs with a focus on contemporary design, sustainable production, value chain integration, and digital access to markets. vii) To create linkages between peacebuilding and livelihood programs, ensuring that economic empowerment reinforces social cohesion and conflict transformation. viii) To build networks and collectives of women peacebuilders and artisans for peer learning, solidarity, and collective bargaining. ix) To institutionalize recognition mechanisms-awards, fellowships, or leadership platforms- for women contributing to peace and cultural preservation. x) To embed gender-sensitive indicators in development and peacebuilding policies, ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes. xi) To document and disseminate women's local knowledge systems and traditional crafts as tools of resilience, identity, and intergenerational healing. |
