MAM College clinches CLUJ’s intercollegiate Hockey Championship Title

Jammu, Dec 10: MAM College stamped its authority on the field and emerged as the undisputed champions of the Intercollegiate Hockey Tournament held at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu, organised by the Cluster University of Jammu. Displaying exceptional skill, coordination and sportsmanship, the team delivered a spectacular performance throughout the tournament.
As per details, the first match was played between SPMR College of Commerce and MAM College, where MAM College registered a commanding victory with a 9–0 scoreline in a completely one-sided contest. The winning momentum continued into the final match, where MAM College faced GGM Science College Jammu. Despite the spirited efforts of GGM players, the unmatched talent and teamwork of MAM College dominated the game, securing a remarkable 10–1 win to seal the championship title. For his outstanding performance, consistent leadership on the field and remarkable goal-scoring ability, Avneet Singh of MAM College was adjudged the Best Player of the Tournament.
The tournament was smoothly conducted under the supervision of Prof. Neeno Sahawney, Prof. Neelam, Prof. Rohit Bhardwaj and Dr. Devinder Sharma, under the able guidance of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education, Cluster University of Jammu, who also graced the final match as the Chief Guest. In his address Dr. Bakshi lauded the efforts of all players and the organizing team for making the tournament successful. Dr. Bakshi also thanked Mr. Ajay Gupta, Manager of the K K Hakku Stadium for his helping hand in organizing the smooth Play. The matches were officiated by Mr. Jagjeet Singh, Mr. Karandeep Sing, Ms. Gargi and Mr. Saksham Sharma.
In his congratulatory message, Prof. K. S. Chandrasekar, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, lauded the exceptional performance of the winning team. He stated, that the commendable display of discipline, teamwork and sporting excellence by MAM College is truly inspiring. Such achievements reflect the growing sports culture within our constituent colleges. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the players, coaches and staff members for this remarkable victory. I hope the team continues to achieve new milestones and brings further laurels to the University. The tournament concluded with great enthusiasm, celebrating talent, teamwork and the spirit of sportsmanship.
