Jammu, Jan 24: A one week capacity building workshop on “Leadership and Digital Competencies” which was organized by Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL) in collaboration with Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), University of Jammu from 19th January, 2026 to 24th January, 2026 concluded today.
Prof. Sandeep Pandita was the chief guest in the valedictory function of the workshop. In her welcome address, Dr. Priyanka Sharma emphasized the role of lifelong learning in strengthening leadership qualities and digital competencies among educators. She highlighted that such capacity-building initiatives are crucial in equipping teachers to meet the evolving demands of higher education in the digital era and reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to continuous professional development.
The welcome address was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest. A brief report of the workshop was presented by Dr. Nandini Puri, Assistant Professor, MIER College of Education, Jammu.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sandeep Pandita underscored the significance of leadership and digital skills in contemporary academia. He appreciated the efforts of the organizers for conducting a well-structured and impactful workshop and encouraged participants to apply the acquired knowledge in their respective institutions for academic excellence and institutional growth.
