SP South Jammu hosts Republic Day tea party; pfficers felicitated for exemplary service

JAMMU, Jan 27: On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, a tea party was organised at the office of SP South, Jammu, bringing together SDPOs, SHOs, ICPPs and office staff in a spirit of camaraderie, pride and national service.
The event was marked by the presence of officers and staff, reflecting unity and commitment towards the ideals of the Constitution and nation-building. During the function, SP South Jammu felicitated police officers and officials by awarding appreciation letters for their exemplary performance and dedication during the year 2025.
In his address, the SP South extended warm Republic Day greetings to all officers and their families, acknowledging the unwavering support and sacrifices made by families of police personnel in enabling effective policing and public service.
The officers were encouraged to continue working with greater dedication, professionalism and integrity, and to uphold value-based policing while serving the public. Emphasis was laid on strengthening public trust, maintaining discipline, and contributing meaningfully towards nation-building and internal security.
As a recognition of collective performance, police stations were ranked subdivision-wise based on overall performance, and certificates of merit were awarded to the best-performing units, further motivating healthy competition and efficiency within the force.
The SP South also lauded the coordinated efforts of field officers and office staff in maintaining law and order, effective crime control, and people-friendly policing throughout the year. He reiterated the importance of teamwork, accountability and continuous capacity building to meet evolving challenges.
The function concluded on a positive note, reinforcing a shared resolve to serve the nation with commitment, honour and professionalism, in keeping with the spirit of the Republic Day.
