CCI delegation meeting MD, CEO JK Bank

JAMMU, Jan 28: A delegation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu led by its President Arun Gupta today called on MD& CEO J&K bank Amitava Chatterjee at Zonal Headquarters Jammu and apprised him about various problems / issues concerning the business community of Jammu. He said that the customer services at the operational level needs to be improved.
Arun Gupta apprised the Managing Director and CEO J&K Bank that the interest rates on Bank loans are higher as compared to other banks. The same should be slashed down and the rate of interest for new startups be reduced besides this the processing charges be also brought down at par with other banks.
Arun Gupta further briefed MD & CEO that the parties who have availed bank limits after mortgage of lease hold properties whose lease period has expired should not be disturbed as the government is considering to declare a policy to resolve this issue and extend their lease period.
While reacting the MD & CEO J&K Bank Amitava Chatterjee assured that all the issues raised and discussed in today's meeting shall be considered on merits and we shall try to resolve these issues in a time bound manner.
Acknowledging that some account holders shifted to other banks due to interest rates, he expressed commitment to winning them back by offering better facilities and also waiving processing fee for those who return.
The other office bearers of CCI who accompanied the delegation include Anil Gupta Sr. Vice President, Rajeev Gupta, Jr. Vice President, Manish Gupta, Secretary General, Rajesh Gupta, Secretary and Rajesh Gupta, Treasurer.
