DAV Ignites Young Minds on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, IPR

AMRITSAR, Jan 31: In a visionary initiative to foster a culture of creativity and business acumen among young students, the Institutions Innovation Council of DAV College Amritsar conducted a special innovation and Entrepreneurship Outreach Program program titled "Spark: Igniting Young Innovators." The program was specifically designed for DAV senior Secondary school students.
The program featured a series of engaging activities, including an interactive Workshops in which Hands-on sessions encouraged students to brainstorm innovative solutions to everyday problems.IPR Awareness Module was also conducted.A dedicated session educated students on the importance of protecting their ideas through patents, copyrights, and trademarks.
The college principal Dr Amardeep Gupta emphasized the need for such initiatives, stating that the future belongs to innovators and problem-solvers. By introducing these concepts at the school level, we are planting the seeds for a more self-reliant and inventive generation. DAV College is too committed to playing a proactive role in nurturing this ecosystem.
The key note speaker and IPR Coordinator, Prof Gagandeep Raizada, added, "The energy and curiosity displayed by the students were remarkable. We witnessed brilliant ideas during the innovation challenge. Our goal was to shift their mindset from being job seekers to job creators, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive."
Participants expressed great enthusiasm, with many stating that the program provided a new perspective on their academic subjects and future career possibilities.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application by introducing students to the critical pillars of the modern economy ie Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Over hundred enthusiastic students from participated in the dynamic session.
