JAMMU, Jan 31: The Bureau of Indian Standards' Jammu office conducted an orientation session titled "Learning Science via Standards (LSVS)" on the topics of Plywood and Weighing Machine The session was delivered by Tania Sharma, who served as the resource person. This event took place on November 8, 2025, and was aimed at educating students about science concepts through the lens of standards, emphasizing Plywood and weighing machine. Standard Club students of classes 9th,10th & 11th participated in this session. This lecture highlighted the importance of understanding science using practical and standard-based approaches with a focus on plywood and Weighingmachine, fostering learning through real-world applications as part of the Bureau of Indian Standards' efforts. The lecture orienter Tania Sharma was welcomed by In-charge of Higher Secondary Wing Rana in Higher Secondary Wing of SNS Jeevan Nagar. Rana sir firstly introduced the importance of this standard club and also introduced the importance of this event. After that Tania taken the dice and in smart board she explained the whole characteristics of Bicycle and Tyres with strong observation of Pawan Kumar (BIS Mentor). After that Harish Sharma, Headmaster Jeevan Nagar SNS also visited and motivated the students for their further participation. At last, event concluded positively with zeal and positive energy towards the Indian Standards on various equipment's.
