Early Times Report
KATRA, Jan 31: A meeting of the BJP Katra Town Unit was held today at Clarks Inn Suites Hotel, Katra, in the presence of Hon'ble MLA, Shri Baldev Raj Sharma. The meeting was attended by BJP District President Reasi, Shri Rohit Dubey; former Chairman, Municipal Committee Katra, Shri Shashi Gupta; City President Katra, Shri Krishan Kumar Malabar, along with senior leaders and members of the BJP Katra Town Unit.
During the meeting, several important issues concerning Katra town were discussed in detail. Party members and local residents strongly demanded that the Hon'ble MLA take up the matter with the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and ensure that the High-Level Committee (HLC) is invited to Katra so that a conclusive meeting may be held regarding the ropeway issue.
Furthermore, a strong demand was reiterated for the second phase of the ropeway from Katra to Tarakote, which has been consistently raised by various associations and individuals. These associations and individuals have submitted their representations to the Hon'ble MLA, seeking an early resolution in the larger interest of Katra town and its stakeholders.
MLA Baldev Raj Sharma patiently listened to the concerns raised and assured the gathering that all genuine demands would be taken up at the appropriate level to ensure a positive and time-bound outcome.
