Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Jan 31: Udhampur Police has attached a movable property worth approximately Rs 10 lakhs in the form of a Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire bearing Registration No. JK01AW-2817 belonging to Inter-District drug peddler namely Abrar Javid S/O Javid Ahmed Sheikh, R/O Lasjan, Gundbal, Srinagar under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act. The attachment has been made in connection with FIR No. 210/2025 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Rehambal. The attached vehicle was found to be proceeds of crime generated through illicit narcotics trafficking. During the course of investigation, detailed financial scrutiny and backward link analysis established that the accused had acquired the said vehicle using money earned from illegal drug trade. Based on these findings, the order of attachment has been passed today for further legal proceedings. With this action, Udhampur Police's NDPS-related property attachment this year stands at Rs 1.50 crore, underscoring its firm crackdown on drug peddlers.
