Retiring DySP, Sub-Inspectors accorded warm send offs

JAMMU, Jan 31: Traffic Police Rural Jammu organized warm send offs for three of its officers who superannuated today on 31-01-2026 after rendering decades of unblemished service in J&K Police. The officers who retired include Dy. SP Shiv Kumar, Dy. SP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch, Sub-Inspector Kartar Nath, S.O (Traffic) Mansar and Sub Inspector Raj Kumar S.O (Traffic Regulation) Poonch who put in 31, 42 and 37 years of services respectively in J&K Police. In two separate , functions held in GOS Mess and RTHQ Jammu, the services of the retiree officers were lauded for their contributions in the most testing times particularly when the State/UT of J&K was struggling with cross border terrorism. Retirement gifts of Rs. One Lakh each sanctioned by PHQ J&K were handed over to the officers alongwith mementos by DIG Traffic Jammu Zone Dr. Haseeb Mughal, IPS and SSP Traffic Rural Jammu Shri Farooq Qaiser, JKPS. Others present on the occasion included SSP Traffic City Jammu Shri Amit Bhasin, JKPS, SSP Traffic NHW Shri Adil Hamid, JKPS and Shri Sukhdev Singh Dy.SP Traffic Samba-kathua alongwith DTIs of Traffic Rural Jammu. The families of the retiree officers also graced the occasion.
In another function held in Dak Bunglow Poonch, DTI Poonch Inspector Manzoor Kohli handed over the retirement gift and memento to Sub Inspector Raj Kumar on behalf of SSP Traffic Rural Jammu and wished him a happy post retirement life. All the retiree officers on their part thanked Traffic Police Rural Jammu for arranging farewell functions for them.
