CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Cyber Crime and Security held

JAMMU, Mar 14: A *CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Cyber Crime and Cyber Security*was successfully organized by Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education Centre of Excellence, Ludhiana with the objective of enhancing educators' awareness about cyber safety and equipping them with essential knowledge to address cyber-related challenges in the digital era.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers of various schools, creating a collaborative platform for learning, interaction, and sharing experiences.
The programme began with a *welcome address by Ms. Monika Sharma, Pre-Primary Coordinator*, who warmly greeted the resource persons and participants and highlighted the importance of cyber awareness in today's digital age.
The session was conducted by expert resource persons *Ms. Jatinder Kour*, PGT Computer Science, Army Public School Jammu, and *Ms. Radhika Handa*, PGT Computer Science, Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu. Both experts shared valuable insights on the growing concerns related to cyber crimes and digital security. They emphasized that with the increasing use of digital devices, social media, and online learning platforms, it has become essential for educators to stay informed about cyber threats and preventive measures.
During the workshop, the resource persons discussed various forms of cyber crimes such as phishing, cyberbullying, identity theft, hacking, online fraud, and misuse of social media platforms. They also explained practical strategies to ensure safe internet usage, protect personal and institutional data, create strong passwords, and identify suspicious online activities.
The workshop was graced by Ms. Mili R. Sumbria, Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, along with Ms. Ruhy, Principal, Minerva Public School, and Ms. Reena Khajuria, Principal, DS Heritage School Kathua, who also actively participated in the workshop, interacting with the resource persons and participants and appreciating the importance of cyber safety awareness for educators and students alike.
The **vote of thanks was extended by Ms. Radha Sharma**, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons and all the participating educators for making the workshop insightful and meaningful.
The workshop was successfully organized under the able leadership and guidance of Ms. Mili R. Sumbria, Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua,and was widely appreciated by all participants for its relevance and informative nature.
