Kishtwar police organizes T-20 cricket tournament in memory of police martyrs

KISHTWAR, Mar 17: In a commendable initiative to promote sportsmanship and pay homage to the brave Police Martyrs, Kishtwar Police, under the directions of SSP Kishtwar Sh. Naresh Singh-JKPS, today inaugurated a T-20 Cricket Tournament at Padder.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Addl. SP Kishtwar Sh. Pardeep Singh Goria-JKPS at Padder, in the memory of those valiant police personnel who made their ultimate sacrifice for the nation. A total of 35 teams from different areas of Padder are participating in the tournament, reflecting great enthusiasm and sporting spirit among the youth.
While sharing the details, Addl. SP Kishtwar stated that such platforms provide an excellent opportunity for the youth to showcase their talent and channel their energy in a positive direction. He emphasized that sports play a vital role in shaping discipline, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility among young individuals. He further urged the youth to actively participate in such constructive activities and stay away from drug abuse and other social evils.
In his message, SSP Kishtwar Sh. Naresh Singh-JKPS extended a warm welcome to all participating teams and appreciated the overwhelming response of the local public. He highlighted that Kishtwar Police is committed to encouraging youth by providing platforms to exhibit their abilities in sports and other constructive fields. He also advised the youth to remain vigilant and avoid indulging in anti-social activities and substance abuse, reiterating that the Police Department stands firmly with them in their growth and development.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by SDPO Padder Vijay Bhagat, SHO Atholi Insp. Amrit Kotach, and other officers of District Police Kishtwar.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating all stakeholders, organizers, and participants for their cooperation and contribution towards making the event a grand success.
