JAMMU, Apr 29: The Psychological Counseling Cell, NCORD and Student Wellness Committee jointly organized a one-day workshop on "Stress Management and Know Your Mind" for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.
The workshop aimed to promote mental well-being, emotional balance and self-awareness among the staff members. Experts and members from the Art of Living conducted interactive sessions and introduced participants to effective stress-relief techniques. A key highlight of the workshop was the practice of Sudarshan Kriya, which was demonstrated and practiced under expert guidance of Mr. Rajesh Parashar. Sudershan Kriya helped participants to experience relaxation and mindfulness.
The event was organized under the guidance and motivation of the Principal, Dr. Jyoti Parihar, who emphasized the importance of mental health and holistic well-being in today's demanding work environment. She noted that effective stress management is essential for sustaining productivity, fostering positive workplace relationships, and ensuring overall life satisfaction. She further encouraged the staff to adopt simple mindfulness practices, such as breathing techniques and meditation, in their daily routines to enhance resilience, emotional balance, and a more focused and positive mindset.
