Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 30: Demonstrating strong commitment to public welfare and infrastructure development, MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta, has successfully secured approval for a major drainage (nallah) project near Jangam Mandir in Ward No. 12, Krishna Nagar. The project, which was also part of the manifesto commitments, has now received official approval, and the tender process has been initiated at an estimated cost of Rs 2.97 crore. This long-pending demand of local residents had been a key concern due to the severely deteriorated condition of the nallah, which caused persistent inconvenience and sanitation issues in the area. Through sustained efforts and continuous follow-up, Arvind Gupta ensured that the issue received due attention and timely approval. “Fulfilling the promises made to the people is my foremost responsibility. The drainage issue near Jangam Mandir had been troubling residents for years, and I made it a priority to address it. With the project now approved and tender floated, we are moving towards a permanent solution. I assure the people that the work will be executed with quality and completed within the stipulated timeframe,” said Arvind Gupta. Prominent residents of the area expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Shri Arvind Gupta for his proactive leadership and dedication. Those who conveyed their thanks include Mandal President Anil Angral, Ramesh Kumar, Smt. Jatinder Kour, Pushpinder Singh, Surjeet Singh, Ajay Singh Chib, and Rasal Singh Kalu. The project stands as another milestone in MLA Arvind Gupta’s ongoing efforts to strengthen civic infrastructure and improve the quality of life for the people of Jammu West.
The commencement of this project marks a positive step towards strengthening urban infrastructure and improving the quality of life for the people of the area.
