| DPS Katra hosts Special Assembly on Labour's Day | | |  Early Times Report
KATRA, Apr 30: Delhi Public School Katra organised a special assembly on the occasion of Labour's Day to honour and appreciate the invaluable contribution of community helpers and supporting staff who work tirelessly for the smooth functioning of society and the school. The occasion was graced by Bansi Lal Sharma- State Vice President of the Labour Artisan Union, who attended the programme as the chief guest. The event commenced with a warm welcome accorded to the guest, followed by the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising respect, gratitude and the spirit of dignity of labour. The assembly witnessed enthusiastic participation by students who presented meaningful speeches highlighting the importance of Labour's Day and the role of workers in nation-building. A heartfelt poem expressing gratitude towards labourers and helping staff was also presented. Students performed a powerful Nukkad Natak, spreading awareness about respecting workers and recognising their hard work. Adding charm to the celebration, students dressed up as different community helpers such as doctors, teachers, policemen, sweepers and gardeners, beautifully portraying their significance in daily life. The helping staff of the school were honoured with handmade cards prepared by the students as a token of love, respect and appreciation Addressing the gathering, the chief guest shared valuable insights about various welfare schemes and benefits available for labourers and working staff. He motivated the supporting staff to be aware of their rights and encouraged them to make use of the government schemes designed for their welfare and upliftment. He also appreciated the school for organising such a thoughtful and meaningful programme that instills respect for labour among students from a young age. Special refreshments were also arranged for the helping staff as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude for their continuous hard work and dedication. This thoughtful initiative added warmth to the celebration and made the staff feel valued and respected. The programme concluded with a group photograph and heartfelt appreciation for all the community helpers, making the celebration memorable and inspiring for everyone present.
