Jammu, Apr 30: In a significant recognition of his multifaceted contributions to the fields of arts, culture, and social service, Tarun Sharma has been appointed as an Honorary Advisory Board Member of the Dogri Bhasha Academy, Jammu.
Tarun Sharma is a well-known actor, director, and writer who has consistently contributed to the promotion of regional art and culture. He currently serves as the President of Nat Manch, where he actively works to preserve and promote theatrical traditions and cultural heritage.
Apart from his artistic pursuits, Sharma is deeply engaged in social and youth development initiatives. He is the President of the Japan Shotokan Kannijuku Karate Do Association, Jammu and Kashmir, where he promotes discipline, fitness, and self-defense among youth. Additionally, he holds the position of Youth President of Shri Bhagwan Parshuram Trust J&K and is associated with several other social, cultural, and sports organizations.
His appointment to the Dogri Bhasha Academy is seen as a step toward strengthening the promotion and preservation of the Dogri language and culture. His diverse experience and dedication are expected to bring valuable insights and fresh perspectives to the Academy.
Speaking on the occasion, Tarun Sharma expressed gratitude for the honor and reaffirmed his commitment to working for the enrichment of Dogri language, literature, and cultural identity.
