KISHTWAR, May 2: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Kishtwar on Saturday organised another exciting series of matches under the Inter-District UT Level U/17 Boys Cricket Tournament-Leagues of Classics.
The mega sports event was held as part of 100 Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Campaign, promoting the message "Choose Sports Not Drugs."
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing 20 districts, reflecting a strong commitment towards youth engagement through sports.
At Chowgan Ground, a Jammu and Ramban turned into a competitive contest. Batting first, Ramban displayed a solid performance, posting a total of 117/7 in 12 overs. Jammu fought hard but fell short of the target, allowing Ramban to secure a convincing victory by 26 runs.
Another match held at the same venue featured Kupwara facing Pulwama. Kupwara set an impressive total of 119/2 in allotted 12 overs, showcasing disciplined batting. However, Pulwama responded with determination and composure, successfully chasing down the target in a thrilling finish, winning the match by 3 wickets.
