Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir campaign intensified in Ramban
5/2/2026 9:54:01 PM
Early Times Report
RAMBAN, May 2: In a sustained effort to strengthen the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, the District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, has intensified awareness activities across the district to spread the message against drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society. As part of the campaign, a series of informative IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials including posters highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and advocating for a drug-free lifestyle, have been prominently displayed by the Municipal Committees of Ramban, Batote and Banihal at several strategic locations.
The awareness drive has also been extended to prominent tourist destinations of the district, particularly Sanasar, where hoardings carrying anti-drug messages have been installed to sensitize both visitors and local residents to the dangers of substance abuse.
To maximize outreach, the IEC material has been strategically displayed at public spaces across the district including behind auto-rickshaws and public transport to ensure visibility among daily commuters.
In a unique initiative, anti-drug awareness posters have also been affixed on Shikaras at Sanasar, further amplifying the campaign's reach among tourists and the local populace.
