| Samba police arrests 3 drug peddlers with 10 grams heroin like substance | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, July 26: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba Police has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered approximately 10 grams heroin-like substance (Chitta) from their possession within the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur. A team of Police Station Vijaypur during patrolling near AIIMS residential complex Vijaypur, intercepted a tempo traveller bearing registration No. JK20C-1717 which was coming from Rakh Barotian side and moving towards NHW-44. During vehicle checking and searching, approximately 10 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the dashboard of the said vehicle. The drug peddlers identified as Mohd Imran S/o Mohd Rafiq R/o Pouni district Reasi, Baljeet Singh S/o Rajinder Singh R/o Salal Kottli district Reasi and Mohd Farooq S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Kalhar district Reasi have been arrested and the contraband item alongwith vehicle involved in commission of crime has also been seized. A case FIR No.127/2026 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started. |
