Government assures farmers: Do not worry, adequate fertilizer is available across the state

LUCKNOW, July 28: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the government is fully committed to ensuring adequate availability of fertilizers, as per crop recommendations, for farmers after the transplantation of paddy, the main crop of the current Kharif season, and the sowing of other crops. He assured farmers that they should not worry, as an adequate quantity of fertilizer is available in the state. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure continuous monitoring by officers of the Agriculture Department and related departments so that fertilizers are made easily available to farmers. The Chief Minister stated that farmers should not pay attention to misleading information and rumors and should not unnecessarily stock fertilizers. More fertilizer has been made available this year compared to last year. Ensuring the timely availability of quality fertilizers to farmers is the government's priority.
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi stated that adequate stocks of fertilizer are available for farmers in the state. Under the Kharif Season 2026, a total of 28.25 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer had been sold as of Monday (July 27), while 29.05 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer are still available. The government is committed to ensuring the timely availability of fertilizers to farmers.

Note: The distribution and availability figures are for the period from April 01 to July 27.
Farmers can contact district and divisional officials in case of any problem
Agriculture Director Dr. Pankaj Tripathi stated that adequate fertilizer is available across all 18 divisions. If farmers face any kind of difficulty in the districts, they can contact the Agriculture Officer at the district or divisional level. The division-wise figures for urea availability are as follows:
