Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: BJP spokesperson, author, poet, and follower of Guru Ravidass, Balbir Ram Rattan, extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the country on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. He said that respect for Gurus is one of the most sacred and glorious traditions of Indian culture. A Guru is not merely a teacher but a guide who shows the right path, an inspiration, and a great architect of character building in society.
He said that Gurus have always been accorded the highest place in India's rich cultural heritage. Through their knowledge, experience, and ideals, they remove the darkness of ignorance from human life and spread the light of wisdom, righteousness, and moral values. Guru Purnima provides an opportunity to express our reverence, respect, and gratitude towards all those Gurus who have guided us in life.
Balbir Ram Rattan said that at a time when society is facing numerous challenges, the teachings and ideals of Gurus have become even more relevant. Gurus inspire us to follow the path of truth, honesty, discipline, selfless service, compassion, and humanity. It is by following their teachings that an individual can lead a meaningful life and make a positive contribution to the progress of society and the nation.
He further said that India's great saintly tradition has always worked towards strengthening social harmony, equality, brotherhood, and human values. The teachings of Guru Ravidass, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Maharishi Ved Vyasa, and many other great saints and Gurus continue to inspire and guide society even today. Their lives teach us the values of truth, hard work, humility, and service to humanity.
Balbir Ram Rattan appealed to the youth to always maintain respect and gratitude towards their Gurus and to imbibe their ideals in their daily lives. He said that respecting one's Guru is not merely a tradition but a noble value that strengthens an individual's character, enriches society's culture, and reinforces the soul of the nation. The festival of Guru Purnima conveys the message of preserving the priceless Guru-disciple tradition and spreading the light of knowledge to every corner of society.
