RAMNAGAR, July 31: The Department of History, Government Degree College Ramnagar today solemnly observed the Martyr's Day of Shaheed Udham Singh by organizing a Symposium under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Daljeet Singh Manhas, Principal, GDC Ramnagar, and under the supervision of Prof. Manmohan Singh, Head, Department of History. The symposium was organised on the theme: "Shaheed Udham Singh: Symbol of Patriotism, Justice and the Spirit of National Sacrifice." The programme commenced with a floral tribute to the great revolutionary, followed by an insightful introduction to his life and unparalleled contribution to India's freedom struggle. The speakers highlighted how Shaheed Udham Singh's unwavering determination and supreme sacrifice continue to inspire generations to uphold the ideals of patriotism, courage, justice, and national unity. The symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation from students Abhimanyu Upadhyay, Sanjeet Singh, Manisha Thakur, Mansi Sharma, and Sneha, who eloquently presented their views on different aspects of Shaheed Udham Singh's life, his resolve to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, and the relevance of his ideals in contemporary India. |
