Synergistic Green Warriors Foundation celebrates 20th World Rangers Day with Plantation Drive

AKHNOOR, July 31: To commemorate the 20th World Rangers Day, the Synergistic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) organized a meaningful plantation drive at a public park in Akhnoor under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sonia Verma, Managing Director & CEO, SGWF. The programme was conducted to honour the invaluable contribution of forest rangers in protecting forests, wildlife, biodiversity, and the environment.
On the occasion, 20 indigenous saplings were planted with the pledge to nurture them into healthy trees, symbolizing the Foundation's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from Yudhvir Singh Jamwal, Sarthak Jamwal, Prithvi Raj Singh Jamwal, Sunil Bhau, Shubhdeep Singh, Aaditya Sharma, and Ashok Kumar, who joined hands in making the event a success.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sonia Verma said that World Rangers Day is a tribute to the courage, dedication, and selfless service of forest rangers who work tirelessly to conserve our natural heritage despite numerous challenges. Planting trees is one of the most meaningful ways to honour their commitment and inspire society towards environmental stewardship.
The participants highlighted the importance of increasing green cover, conserving biodiversity, and encouraging youth to actively participate in environmental protection initiatives. They also emphasized that every tree planted today is an investment in a healthier and greener future.
