Samba police solves motorcycle theft case; accused arrested, stolen bike recovered

SAMBA, July 31: Samba Police has successfully solved a motorcycle theft case registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana, arrested one accused person and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
On 27.07.2026, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Bari Brahmana by one person namely Kamal Kishore S/o Amar Nath R/o Shree Ram Colony, Gurdaspur (Punjab) presently residing behind HDFC Bank Bari Brahmana district Samba. In his complaint, he reported that his motorcycle bearing registration No. PB06H-3017 had been stolen from his residence by an unknown person.
Acting upon the complaint, a case FIR No. 226/2026 u/s 303(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Bari Brahmana after relentless efforts, successfully apprehended one accused namely Vicky Goswami S/o Surinder Goswami R/o Teli Basti Bari Brahmana district Samba, who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. Based on his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
