JAMMU, Sept 10: Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, Jammu Police apprehended two persons and recovered approximately 250-260 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance during naka checking in the jurisdiction of Police Station Khour.
A police party of Police Station Khour, while conducting naka checking at Dhaleri, intercepted a car bearing registration No. JK02BD-0771 for checking. The driver allegedly attempted to flee from the spot, following which the police party chased and stopped the vehicle at some distance.
During the subsequent search, approximately 250-260 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance was recovered from the possession of the two occupants, identified as:
Rahul Dhar S/o Devi Dass R/o Falatee, Tehsil & District Udhampur.
Dheeraj Sumbliya S/o Satish Kumar R/o Garhi, Tehsil & District Udhampur.
Accordingly, FIR No. 75/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Khour. Further investigation is underway. |
