Ramban admin discusses action plan for time-bound implementation of NAPS

RAMBAN, Sept 10: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting of officers to review the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in the district.
The meeting was attended by General Manager District Industries Centre, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Principal Government Degree College, LDM, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Executive Engineers from PWD and Jal Shakti, Chief Education Officer, Tehsildar Headquarters, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Principal Polytechnic College, Superintendent ITI and other concerned officers and stakeholders.
The Deputy Commissioner designated the General Manager DIC as the District Nodal Officer for effective implementation of NAPS in the district. The Nodal Officer will coordinate with ITIs, Polytechnic Colleges, educational and skill development institutions, hydropower projects, MSMEs, banks and other establishments to formulate and implement a time-bound action plan for achieving the prescribed targets.
The DC directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Principal Polytechnic College, Superintendent ITI and other concerned officers to extend full support to the District Nodal Officer in coordinating with establishments, institutions, departments and other stakeholders. He stressed that NAPS implementation be accorded top priority through concerted efforts to maximise participation of eligible candidates and establishments.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed the officers to intensify registration of candidates and establishments and achieve the targets on mission mode through focused mobilisation and registration drives across the district. Special emphasis was laid on onboarding eligible establishments, particularly companies engaged in NH-44 projects, hydropower projects, MSMEs and other industrial and commercial establishments on the NAPS portal.
The DC directed the GM DIC to submit a consolidated daily progress report on the implementation of NAPS, ensuring close monitoring and timely corrective action wherever required.
