A significant new initiative was also undertaken from this month with the introduction of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for the disbursement of widow pensions and student scholarships.
The bank accounts of the pensioners and students receiving assistance from the Sanstha have been duly verified, and henceforth the pension and scholarship amounts will be directly credited to their respective bank accounts.
