DODA, Oct 25: In a continued drive against illegal mining and the unauthorised transportation of minerals, Doda Police intercepted a dumper bearing registration number JK06A-9281 at Naka Karara.
During checking, the vehicle, driven by Tanvir Ahmed, S/o Ghulam Hussain, R/o Panjgrain, Bhaderwah, was found transporting approximately 16 metric tonnes of ordinary sand without a valid E-Challan/Form-A.
Accordingly, the dumper was seized, and the District Mineral Officer (DMO), Doda, was informed for necessary action under the relevant rules.
In connection with the violation, the District Mineral Office, Doda, has indicated a fine of ?23,096, along with a penalty of ?15,000
