SJVN promotes Swacchata and Administrative Efficiency under Special Campaign 6.0
10/30/2026 9:48:56 PM
SHIMLA, Oct 30: SJVN successfully undertook a series of initiatives under Special Campaign 6.0 across all its projects and offices organised under the guidance of Ministry of Power and Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances for Institutionalising Swachhata and Minimising Pendency in Government Offices, marking its continued commitment to Government of India's endeavour towards cleaner workplaces, improved administrative efficiency and sustainable resource management.
Under the campaign, SJVN undertook systematic disposal of 13.32 tonnes of used batteries from Corporate Headquarters (7,500 kg) and Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) (5,820 kg) with a cumulative value of ?16,11,453/-. Additionally, approximately 25 tonnes of e-waste and unserviceable materials, including 800 kg of tyres, have been identified for disposal, contributing towards better space utilisation and environmental conservation.
Alongside these environmental initiatives, SJVN carried out concerted initiatives across its projects for disposal of approximately 322 pending files and documents, weighing around 585 kg, simplification of rules and procedures, and time-bound resolution of pending public grievances and appeals. Complementing these administrative measures, special cleanliness and sanitation drives were conducted across 14 identified SJVN establishments.
By integrating cleanliness, systematic record management and sustainable waste disposal into its institutional practices, SJVN continues to advance a work culture rooted in efficiency, accountability and environmental stewardship.
