Video showing woman labourer beaten to pulp goes viral on social media

JAMMU, Mar 31: A 43 second video which has surfaced on the social media in which a landlady, her husband, daughter and a minor son was beating a women laborer, in the Malipath area of Kishtwar district has created a great resentment among the local people who are outrageous over the way the women labourer was beaten and hit like a gunny bag by the husband of a landlady.
As per the details available with 'Early Times' the incident took place few days ago in the Malipath area, on the outskirt of Kishtwar-the place which is hardly around one kilometer from police station Kishtwar wherein the women laborer was beaten, dragged and hit by the landlady was surfaced only yesterday as a result of which the people are very angry and demanded action against the guilty involved in this shameful act.
The women laborer was alone at home when the incident took place.
The people told the 'Early Times' that the women labourer who is a tenant had some arguments with the daughter of landlady following which the landlady, her daughter, son and husband overpowered her and beat her mercilessly.
The middle aged men around 45 years old was seen dragging the women with the help of others beside was also seen climbing on her chest and abdominal areas pushing her body under his feet.
The lady seems to have fallen unconscious after receiving push on her chest and abdomen. However the exert reason behind the altercation between the two could not be ascertained.
"Question is not about who they are? Where is District Administration--- women cell-Beti Bachao Beti Padao--- Ladli Beti--- Police should intervene and take immediate steps to book culprits" said the outrageous people.
Another person who circulated this outrageous video write "This is all about the condition of women and its security-Incident took place at Malipath Kishtwar---I do perform my duty by sending this video to all of you--- Now it is your turn-hope for immediate action".
The people also forwaded this video to SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary and SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani demanding action against the persons captured in the video.
The sources said that Kishtwar police took the cognizance of the incident after the matter was brought into their notice by the victim family who came to know about the incident after returning to rented room.
However, it is not known whether the police have registered any FIR or made any arrest in this regard.
Despite repeated attempts S P Kishtwar did not respond.
