JAMMU, Mar 31: Central GST Commissionerate, UT of Jammu and Kashmir, today hosted a commemorative balloon as part of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" on the roof of CGST Bhavan, Jammu. The balloon was hosted by C.L.Dogra, Additional Commissioner, which was followed by launching of bunches of tricoloured balloons by the officers of the CGST Commissionerate.
"Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" is a series of events to be organised by the Govt. Of India to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence. The Mahotsav will be celebrated as Jan -Utsav in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari. These programmes are being held at 75 locations across the country for 75 weeks culminating on 15th August, 2022.
Speaking on the occasion, C.L.Dogra recalled the important moments of freedom struggle and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and other great personalities who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle movement. Dogra urged the staff and officers of the CGST Commissionerate, Jammu and Kashmir, to imbibe the spirit of democratic values as envisaged by the founding fathers of this Nation through hard-work and dedication towards their duties and focus on efficiency and transparency in their daily work.
Several other events and activities are also planned in the coming weeks as the part of the celebrations. Deputy Commissioners Vikramaditya Meena, Safdar Ali, Assistant Commissioner Ajay Tadia, Superintendent (Hqrs) Ashwani Kumar and other officers and staff were also present on the occasion. |
