DC Kathua presides over mega Block Divas proceedings at Basohli

KATHUA, Mar 31: District Development Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav today presided over Mega Block Divas meeting at PWD Rest house, Basohli to take first-hand appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
Block Development Council, Chairperson Basohli, Sushma Jamwal, panchs and a large number of public delegations raised various grievances and demands related to basic amenities and services, besides issues related to pending payments of works, identification of land for PHC, repair of Basohli-Kathua road, pending land compensation, monkey menace, dilapidated condition of Dhar-Mahanpur PMGSY road, upgradation of school and provision of Ayushmaan and Adhaar registration at multiple locations in Basohli Block.
The DC gave a patient hearing to their issues, demands and assured redress of all genuine issues in a time bound manner. He directed the officers and officials of all departments to remain available for public at all times to mitigate their issues on priority.
About the provision of land for PHC Dhar Jkankar, concerned officials were directed to take up the issue on priority and identify the land as per the norms.
Regarding the issue of Ayushman and Adhaar registration, the DC directed the concerned officers to make a registration plan involving elected PRIs and ULB representatives for intensifying the process. He also directed ADC Basohli to expedite the land identification process for newly sanctioned Kendriya Vidyalaya for the block.
Among others, SSP Kathua R.C Kotwal; ADC Basohli, Tilak Raj Thapa; CMO, Dr Ashok Chaudhary; Tehsildar, BMO, BDOs and other officers, besides a large number of people also participated in the Mega Block Divas proceedings.
