Mayor kick starts development works

Jammu, Mar 31: Continuing his endeavour to provide more & best development & civic amenities to the residents of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation today alongwith Surinder Choudhary, councillor ward no. 29 Shakti Nagar area, kick started various development works near Shamshan Ghat Shakti Nagar towards A.G. Office in terms of beautification of path by way of installation of steel railings as well as further development of Shamshan Ghat & other allied works with an estimate cost of Rs 12.50 lakh.
Kishore Kumar, Executive Engineer, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Assistant Executive Engineer, S.K. Bhat, Junior Engineer & other supervisory staff of Engineering Division-III concerned contractor, Ved Parkash, Naseeb Raj, Karan Sharma & other prominent inhabitants of ward no. 29 & 33 were also remained present there.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that large number of public from Shakti Nagar, Shiv Nagar, Rajpura, Talab Tilloo & other surrounding wards of the city comes at this place, known as “Bhada Ghar” to attend the last rites of their known deceased persons and the JMC has already taken up the job of providing best possible facilities to the public interms of continuous water supply, proper shed in case of rain & hot weather, proper sitting arrangements especially for old & sick persons, eco friendly environment by planting more & more saplings in beautiful pots, renovation of stairs & other such type of facilities.
He directed the concerned engineering wing to complete all the remaining development activities within the stipulated timeframe by applying best quality construction material for its long durability & upto the satisfactory of the locals.
