Early Times Report

Poonch, June 1: In order to hide its shortcomings, the District Administration Poonch has allegedly been trying that their failure might not come in public domain.
During COVID pandemic, when people are facing huge difficulties, the District Administration Poonch has been portraying that everything has been going all right before senior officials who come to the district on official visit to review the situation.
Some officials in District Administration always make sure that the media should meet with these officials as it has been seen that the failures and frauds committed by the various departments are disclosed by some sources.
The local residents alleged that whenever some senior officials of any departments and even advisors, Div Com visit in the district, they are not allowed to meet them to highlight their difficulties in Dak Bungalow. District Administration invites them only as per convenience and rest of the time they are ignored.
These days shopkeepers are in huge distress due to not allowing them to open their shops for the entire day.
“The shops of Milk, Mobile and other shops are allowed only from 8-11 am and that too on alternative days due to which they cannot earn their livelihood,” they alleged further adding that there should be a roaster for shops for opening the entire day.
Another fraud has been going on in this pandemic by some officials of the Revenue Department, who have been facilitating encroachment and illegal construction across the district.
When Early Times contacted the DC Poonch regarding this, he said that he would look into this matter and will ensure that media should be invited whenever there is a visit of some senior officials.
