Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 18: Residents of Qasim Nagar have virtually become victim of dirty politics of BJP, Congress as development is done only in selective points on the particular basis of party workers in the area depriving other from their right.
They alleged that the area is deliberately ignored by the political parties, only petty development works are done here.
“The roads are constructed in selective points, street lights are installed according to political workers are supporters,” residents alleged.
We have been facing numerous issues development here. There are several lanes which have not been constructed for the last 20 years. Drains are clogged due to silt and polythene carry bags due to which drainage water flows over it and spread on the road, said Manohar Lal, Advocate and resident of Qasim Nagar. He alleged that politician visit this area only during elections and rest of the time remain missing.
The leaders are only after monetary benefits and provide works only to their favourites on the basis of commission, said Paramjeet. The sanitation is the biggest menace here but the sanitary works hardly visit and clean the area, he added.
Rani Devi said that during rainy season the roads are filled with water making impossible to pass through these passages, students are the main sufferers of apathy of the concerned authority. “There is no unity among the residents of the area. The politicians have played divide and rule policy with us,” they alleged.
