SI post aspirants demand 5-year age relaxation
Stage protest, urge LG Sinha to intervene
11/14/2021 11:20:20 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 14: Despite Jammu and Kashmir administration giving 2-year onetime age relaxation to apply for the post of Sub Inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir Police, aspirants are unhappy.
Aspirants staged a protest here on Sunday demanding that five-year age relaxation should be given as its after five years SI posts have been announced. “The SI posts were advertised in 2009 and then in 2016 and now in 2021. These posts haven’t been announced at regular intervals of two years,” they said.
Aspirants appealed to Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, to order a probe to ascertain why the posts were announced after so many years and instead of two years announce five-year age relaxation. “Till date we have only got one chance to appear for these exams. We urge the Lieutenant Governor to intervene and provide us with one more chance to appear in these exams,” aspirants said.
