Kishtwar, Apr 12: Even after 50 years of its establishment, the government Degree College Kishtwar lacks various basic facilities including the proper toilets, no drinking water facility beside also lack the hostel facilities for the students who are the students of the college from far flung areas of the District.
The students of Degree College Kishtwar inform the Early Times that their is the worst condition of washrooms in the college premises added that the washroom aren't being cleaned on the regular basis and there isn't any water supply to these washrooms as a result of which foul smell comes out from these washrooms and one can't even stand in and around the said area.
“The water cooler in the college was sanctioned by the district administration on demand of ABVP- but college administration haven't taken proper care of the coolers and once again the students are facing the problem on account of drinking water” said ABVP leader Akash Kumar.
Akash said that they have also submitted a memorandum to the college Principal with the hope that the demands will be looked into.
He said that the hostels are under construction since last over 7 years added that the reason behind its delayed construction is not known to anyone.
“We request the college authorities, administration and the government to take all these issues seriously and redressed them within 15 days- otherwise the students will protest against the college administration” rued the students added that they are hopeful that government will look into the genuine demands of the students without any delay.
