Biker killed, 28 injured in road accidents in Kathua, Udhampur

JAMMU, May 28; A motorcyclist was killed and 28 people injured in separate road accidents in Kathua and Udhampur districts. Police said that a biker suffered injuries when his motorbike collided head on with a car near Hiranagar on Jammu-Pathankot national highway.
He was rushed to the hospital by the police but declared as brought dead and his identity is being ascertained. The injured persons in the car have been evacuated and rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, in another road mishap, 26 passengers suffered injuries when a bus they were travelling, skidded off and turned turtle on the road at Battal Ballian in Udhampur district. Police said that the bus on its way to Doda from Jammu met with the accident when reached Battal Ballian.
“At least 26 passengers suffered injuries and they were immediately rushed to the District Hospital from where six persons were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu,” police added.
