COVID-19: J&K reports 741 fresh cases

SRINAGAR, Aug 2:The Government today informed that 741 fresh positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19)have been reported today; 226 from Jammu division and 515 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 465904. Also, 01 COVID death has been reported from Jammu division.
Moreover, 445 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 184 from Jammu division and 261 from Kashmir division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 465904 positive cases, 4846 are Active Positive (1663 in Jammu Division and 3183 in Kashmir Division), 456285 have recovered and 4773 have died; 2344 in Jammu division and 2429 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 26153662 test results available, 465904 samples have tested positive and 25687758 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 12124 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 6697918 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 131 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4846 in isolation and 285 in home surveillance. Besides, 6687883 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, the Bulletin informs that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 239 cases, Baramulla reported 125 cases, Budgam 42 cases, Pulwama reported 14 cases, Kupwara reported 38 cases, Anantnag reported 14 cases, Bandipora reported 15 cases, Ganderbal reported 05 cases, Kulgam reported 20 cases while as Shopian reported 03 fresh case for today.
Similarly in Jammu division, Jammu reported 125 cases, Udhampur 14, Rajouri 16, Doda 24, Kathua 07, Samba 03, Kishtwar 03, Poonch 02, Ramban 25 and Reasi reported 03 cases.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K UT Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24x7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
