Jammu University organizes Display Your Talent

JAMMU, Nov 10: Two events of music viz Group Song Indian and Folk Instrumental Solo were conducted on the second day of ongoing 'Display Your Talent-2022-23' organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu. Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Prakash Antahal, Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Vishav Raksha alongwith the Judges, dignitaries and Teachers Incharge felicitated the winners.
In Group Song Indian, GCW, Udhampur stood First, GDC R.S. Pura was declared Second and GDC Ramnagar secured Third Position. Certificates of Merit were awarded to GDC (Boys) Udhampur and GDC Samba. O.P. Thapar, Sh. Surinder Manhas and Monu Kumar were the adjudicators and Dr. Padam Dev Singh was the Teacher In-charge.
In Folk Instrumental Solo, Pardeep Kumar from GDC Paloura, Lakshya from GDC (Boys) Udhampur and Deepak Kumar from the Department of Dogri, JU stood First, Second and Third respectively. O.P. Thapar, Surinder Manhas and Sangat Ram were the adjudicators and Dr. Shallu Sehgal was the Teacher In-charge.
The events of DSW are conceived, planned and organised by the team consisting of Prof. Prakash Antahal (Dean Students Welfare), Prof. Vishav Raksha (Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof. Sanjana Kaul (Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Dr. Anil Gupta (Associate Dean SW), Dr. Garima Gupta and Dr. Pritam Singh (Assistant Deans, SW), Dr. A.R. Manhas & Dr. Shallu Sharma (Deputy Proctors), members of Campus Cultural Committee, Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer). The events were witnessed by the members of Campus Cultural Committee, teachers, students, scholars of the University of Jammu and prominent members of the civil society. Janvi Sharma, Sunny Singh, Rohan Sharma, Insha Dawood, Deepika Rani, Palvasha Khanam, Vishal Sharma and Aryan Chalotra (Cultural Representatives) did the Hall Management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur.
