Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 4: Shraddha Kapoor is likely to play Rukhsana Kausar, a Kashmiri woman, who killed a LeT terrorist thirteen years ago.
Rukhsana Kausar in 2009 was just 21 years old when three terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) entered her house and started beating her family members mercilessly.
With her bravery, she not only killed a terrorist but also managed to escape safely with her entire family. Talking to Early Times Rukhsana Kausar while recollecting the horrifying incident, Kausar said, on the night of Sep 27, 2009, a Sunday, three terrorists entered into their house in Rajouri district and started beating her father, brother and mother mercilessly.
“I had hid myself behind a cot. I heard my brother shouting that Mama and Papa have died. I mustered courage picked up the axe and killed a Lashkar terrorist and injured his accomplice,” Kausar recollected.
Kausar along with her 18-year-old brother Aijaz, overpowered terrorists and snatched an AK 47 from one of them. Her parents Noor Hussain and Rashida were injured in the incident. The bravery of Rukhsana, who had never picked up a gun before the incident, had come in for praise from every section of the society. As per several reports, Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to essay the role of Rukhsana Kausar. "Makers of the film wanted someone who would look like a 20-year-old onscreen to play Rukhsana.”
