Movie on Rukhsana
12/5/2022 10:52:21 PM
Shraddha Kapoor is all set to play Rukhsana in a movie being made to honour her bravery and courage.
Rukhsana hailing from Rajouri district had shot a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander and forced two other terrorists to flee in September 2009. Rukhsana is currently serving in the police department and a movie on her exemplary courage could prove to be an inspiration for others.
In 2009, three terrorist broke into Rukhsana’s uncle’s house and took him to the house of his elder brother Noor Hussain.
They assaulted Hussain and his wife and tried to kill them. However, Rukhsana appeared on the scene with an axe and struck the Lashkar commander on the head. Rukhsana picked up the commander’s AK47 rifle and started firing at the other militants, killing one commander while the other two escaped.
Rukhsana was conferred with a gallantry award for standing up to terror and was appointed in J&K Police.
As a daughter of J&K, Rukhsana gave a befitting reply to terrorists and sent a clear message that J&K people won’t get bogged down by terror.
In October 2009, terrorists fired multiple shots at Rukhsana’s house and also threw two hand grenades which exploded some distance from the house. Rukhsana’s entire family had to leave their native area due to constant threats to their lives.
But the courage exhibited by Rukhsana became an inspiration for one and all as after Rukhsana’s courageous act, terrorists faced the resistance from common people at many places. She set an example and many have been following into her footsteps.
She drove home the point that every woman in J&K has the passion to sacrifice her life for the sake of the motherland.
A movie on Rukhsana is a salute to her bravery and courage as the terrorists would not have even imagined that a young woman would repel their attack and would kill one of their top commanders.
A film on Rukhsana is a tribute to all the J&K women who despite being the worst victims of Pakistan sponsored terrorism stood firm on their grounds and never allowed the adversaries to succeed in their wicked plans.
Women like Rukhsana have stood like a rock and have a played a pivotal role in wiping out terrorism from Jammu region.
