CJM directs SHO to register FIR against Patwari for tampering, Tehsildar for non compliance

KISHTWAR, Jan 2: Taking strong note of non cooperation by Revenue officials, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kishtwar directed SHO police station Kishtwar to register an FIR against Patwar Halqa Matta (Hardeep Singh), Satish Kumar son of late Nand Lal R/o Village Begana Matta over the allegations of tempering in revenue record beside also directed SHO Kishtwar to also register an FIR against Tehsildar Kishtwar for non compliance.
As per the order issued by CJM Kishtwar, CJM Kishtwar has sought factual report from the concern Tehsildar with regard to complaint filled by Complainant
73 year old Munshi Ram S/o Late Gosoun Ram, R/O Village Bera Matta, Tehsil and District Kishtwar against Patwar Halqa Matta and other for tempering in revenue record and the order in this regard was passed on 27th July 2022 with extension sought by the concern twice on 18-8-2022 & 17-10-2022.
The order further stated that despite the lapse of two months following two extensions, no report was submitted by the concern officials added that it appears that Tehsildar Kishtwar is not interested in conducting or completing an inquiry.
"Perusal of the record reveals that prima-facie tempering of official record appears in the contest of the complaint. As such SHO PS Kishtwar is hereby directed to register an FIR in the instant case & submit compliance on or before 30th January 2023" read the order.
The CJM has directed to register the FIR against the Patwar Halqa Matta, Tehsildar Kishtwar & other U/S 167/109 IPC.
