Jammu, Jan 16: The voices seeking much-awaited Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to go louder as the Bharatiya Janta Party or BJP has started its 2-day national executive meeting in Delhi on January 16 where the JK poll issue is being discussed.
The BJP National President JP Nadda on Monday presided over the national executive meeting to review the reports submitted by state general secretaries and the party representatives from Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said from J&K apart from other leaders, the meeting is being attended by senior BJP leader from Kashmir, Darakshan Andrabi.

“There was a larger consensus among the leadership that the elections (in JK) be held,” said a source.
Sources said the party leadership is of the opinion that by holding elections, “BJP will form the government of its own by not only sweeping Jammu region but also by making significant victory in Kashmir region.”
A senior BJP leader told the Early Times on the condition of anonymity that party has gained enough ground in the Union Territory for “prospective historic victory.”
The sources said a formal word about the holding of elections was expected on Tuesday when the party will formally speak about its resolution of the meeting.
