Early Times Report

Srinagar, May 8: Denied a post in the recent reshuffle made by the National Conference in its media wing, a youth face of the NC has raised a “rebellion”.
Sources said the youth face, who had been close to some senior NC leaders, has told Jammu and Kashmir Police that he faces threat to life.
The sources said he has told police that he has received threats and that he could suspect some unusual movement outside his residence.
The sources said police was likely to register a case if the youth cadre files a formal complaint in this regard.
The controversy erupted hours after the NC announced its new list for the media and social media wings.
The youth cadre posted a social media post saying: “ON MY EXPULSION FROM J&K-NC… So the reconstitution of the media cell of the party was nothing but a smart way to expel me-The party thinks-the expulsion gives the expelled a public & media glare- so they first dissolved the cell and then dropped me in the reconstitution.”
“I of-course don’t agree with the manner in which it was done. I wasn’t accorded the right to reply to the accusations that were levelled against me by the media incharge of the party… I was brought into the party two years ago by two top leaders who promised me to remain on my side and protect me from the internal party lobbyism,” the youth said.
The youth also accused the new faces in NC media cell of being “uneducated and ignorant.” As per him, one of the social media members recently remarked that “Nelson Mandela was Indian.”
In the past, the youth cadre was associated with Peoples Democratic Party.
Despite repeated attempts the NC leadership couldn’t be contacted for comments.
