| Altaf Bukhari annoys Shia community | | People stage protest, demand FIR against Apni Party president | |  Early Times Report
Srinagar, May 11: A day after video of Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari targeting the members of Shia community went viral on social media, protests were staged against Bukhari at Pantha Chowk here on Thursday.
Demonstrators led by Er Ajaz Hussain Balhami raised slogans against the Apni Party president and burnt his effigies. “Altaf Bukhari has hurt the sentiments of the followers of Imam Hussain (AS) and he should tender a public apology for his remarks.”
Balhami demanded that the Police should book the Apni Party president as he tried to create communal tension by targeting the Shia community. “We want to tell him that the followers of Imam Hussain (AS) are spread across the world, not only Shias, people from every community follow his teachings. His utterances are unacceptable.” |
